About Inventory

• Inventory is entered at POS in BCSS Intro. Use Deluxe, Diamond or Virtual to track and discount pre-sold inventory.
• Add a Consignor before entering his/her inventory.
• Suggestion: When adding a Consignor, use part of the last name for Consignor ID, then Inventory IDs will be name-# (making sorting and ownership identification logical and easy).
• Price Labels can be printed with any BCSS Edition (Intro, Deluxe, Diamond or Virtual).
• Remove Duplicate Entries: Batch edit for the consignor. Go through the list of items and find the highest item number. Renumber duplicates starting with the next higher number.
• Double-click on an item in the list of inventory to edit its record.
• RIGHT-click on an item for a menu of functions like edit, delete, etc.
• Batch Delete Inventory by Category and/or by Consignor.
• Deleted inventory can be restored.
• Sold inventory may be moved to and from Storage.
• Unsold inventory may be returned to the consignor, transferred to store ownership (house account), donated or destroyed. 'Secret Codes' may be printed on price labels to let employees know what the disposition of each unsold item is.
• Inventory can be manually or automatically discounted and can be discounted by Category.
• Each Inventory Item may be specifically described and categorized using User-Defined Groups for identification and classification.
