Registering BCSS

The demo version of BCSS is the full BCSS program. The only demo limitation is a 14-day usage period.

To continue to use BCSS after the trial period, please purchase an Unlock Code to remove the 14-day limitation.

A few variation of bar-code scanners and receipt printers are available to match your operational preferences. Please click here to view hardware options. The BCSS Specials (or Packages) include a bar-code scanner, cash drawer and receipt printer.

How to Purchase BCSS

1. Purchase BCSS online or call sales at 847-386-1692. Methods of payment are Google Checkout, PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Amex, personal or business check, cashiers check, money order or bank wire.
2. Please complete and fax, scan/email or mail a Purchase Order. If this link doesn't work the PO may be downloaded from http://www.bestconsignmentshopsoftware.com/unlock.htm.
   • The signature on the Purchase Order must be the same as that on the credit card, or that of the business owner.
   • The BCSS 'serial number' is located in BCSS under Blue Help Button, then Program Registration. If the demo has expired the serial number will appear on the opening BCSS screen.
3. After we receive payment, the Purchase Order and the Serial Number, we will email the Unlock Code to you. Copy/paste it in the Unlock field under Help > Program Registration (or on the opening screen if the demo is expired) and click 'Unlock'. A message should appear confirming that the Unlock Code was accepted.

Please note that because of the similarity of some characters (like O and 0, l and 1), it is best to not type the Serial Number and Unlock Code. Please always copy and paste using the Windows clipboard.

Locating the Serial Number

If the BCSS demo period has expired, the serial number will appear on the opening splash screen. Otherwise, follow these steps for locating the serial number:

• In BCSS, click on Help on the Main Menu.
• Click on Program Registration.
• The serial number is on the left side under 'Serial Number'.
• Select the Serial Number, right click and copy.
• Under Help click on 'Email Serial Number'.
• Complete the information in the form and send.

Entering the Unlock Code

After you have submitted the Serial Number to support, you will receive an email message with the Unlock Code.

• Copy the Unlock Code to the Clipboard.
• Open BCSS.
• Click on Help, Program Registration.
• Click on 'Enter Unlock Code here' then right click and paste.
• Click on Unlock Demo.

If unlock is not successful, first be sure to copy/paste the Unlock Code and not attempt to type it.

Second, make sure the serial # was also copy/pasted (not typed) and sent to support correctly. To verify, copy/paste the serial # into a plain-text editor (like Notepad) and compare it to the Serial Number that was sent to support. If the Serial Number is different from the one sent to support, please resend the Serial Number with a request to regenerate the Unlock Code.

Our Refund Policy:

We will refund payments made within 30 days (unless a permanent unlock code has been issued).

However, we don't think it's right to take money for a software program before its users have decided if it's right for them. Here's a better idea:

Use our software for free for 14 days. It is fully functional and contains all of the features of the full edition. Please use this time to determine that BCSS is right for you and that it works properly on your computer(s). That way, there's no money out of your pocket, no rush and no refund to worry about.

BCSS Hardware

All hardware pieces are produced by a company called POS-X in Bellingham, WA, recipient of Business Solution's 2009 Best Channel Product Award. Visit their website at http://www.pos-x.com if you like. Our switch to POS-X provides you with better pricing, delivery and warranties (3-5 years on all pieces).

Shipments are made from a central location (Memphis, TN) near the FedEx central distribution point. Your order is shipped on the same day that we receive confirmation of your order.
