On the PPSS New-Pawner Screen click in the Driver-License field and scan a (valid) license to populate the Pawner Record with the person's name, address and date of birth. (The 2D scanner will also enter height and weight and the DL #.) Results may vary from state to state.

The XM95 3-Track Magnetic Swipe Reader ($79) reads licenses for AK, AR, CA, CO, FL, IA, KS, LA, MD, MI, MN, NM, OH, PA, SC and VT.

The DS4208 Motorola 2D Scanner ($295) can NOT be used in the states listed above and must be used in all other states (except TX where license scanning is not allowed).

XM95 Magnetic Stripe Reader ($79) The XM95 is a 3-track MSR designed to read magnetically-encoded drivers licenses bi-directionally. It has a 'plug n play' USB interface - Just plug it in and scan to enter pawners' identifying information in PPSS. Velcro or Screw mounting options. 3-year Advance Replacement Protection. DS4208 Motorola 2D Scanner ($295) The DS4208 is a '2 Dimensional' scanner which reads license barcodes. It can read (slightly) damaged barcodes and even barcodes from cell phones. PPSS 24karat Specials Include License Scanning

All PPSS Specials include the EVO thermal receipt (not label) printer, cash drawer, and the Vline barcode scanner.

The 24karat Special ($1478) includes the MSR Magnetic Strip REader (for AK, AR, CA, CO, FL, IA, KS, LA, MD, MI, MN, NM, OH, PA, SC, VT).

The 24karat Special ($1773) includes the DS4208 Motorola 2D Scanner (for states not listed above or TX).
